Ōno (大野市 Ōno-shi) is a city located in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on July 1, 1954.

As of June 1, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 36,890, with 12,016 households and a population density of 42.29 persons per km². The total area is 872.30 km².

The town is encircled by a ring of mountains and the only way in or out is via tunnels or mountain roads.

On November 7, 2005, the village of Izumi (from ÅŒno District) was merged into ÅŒno.
