OP12 (English: On 12) was on May 14, 2012 until December 31, 2014 the label for the third channel of the VRT for the broadcasts after 8pm (after the children's programs of Ketnet occurred). The name is derived from the digital channel number that the station was assigned the most Flemish operators.
History
As of May 14, 2012 OP12 sent out on the channel Ketnet until evening to see of. Ketnet previously sat on one channel with Canvas. The time used by Canvas was filled and so was released on the new channel, was filled by OP12. OP12 was a channel for young people and expatriates living in Flanders.
The third channel also wanted to further strengthen with the public mission of the VRT. The first year the VRT wanted the youth primarily offer learning and evaluating, in the autumn of 2013 followed a fuller range, it rebroadcasts the largely comprehensive. The label often popped in combination with one of the famous brands in the VRT. Thus, a concert was Studio Brussel under the name "Studio Brussel op 12" (Studio Brussel on 12) and broadcast a live sports broadcast under the name "Sporza op 12" (Sporza on 12).
During the Christmas holidays of 2012-2013 a daily supply was provided with youth programs. In the summer of 2013, the transmitter sent almost does not matter. On September 23, 2013 the station took a new start. Every night there was a broadcast, but also the new programs Carte Blanche and Mind Your Own Business was launched.
As with day-sister Ketnet much was repeated.
On December 31, 2014 was the last broadcast of OP12. Since January 1, 2015 to be done by the savings no daily broadcasts. The channel will still be used for decoupling and Ketnet as evasive and service channel for Eén and Canvas under the title Eén+ and Canvas+.
