Orchestra of the Swan

The Orchestra of the Swan is an English professional chamber orchestra based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

The orchestra has residencies at the Civic Hall in Stratford and the Town Hall in nearby Birmingham, and performs regularly in London, Coventry, Bedworth, Loughborough and Lichfield.[1]

It was founded in 1995 to perform at the Stratford Music Festival. Between 2006 and 2011 it commissioned over 50 new works.[2] Among the orchestra's recordings are a series, some of them premiere recordings, of the music of the long-neglected Austrian composer Hans Gál (1890-1987).[3]
