Order of Skanderbeg with Albanian Flag
The Order of Skanderbeg (Albanian: Urdhri "Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu") or the George Kastrioti Skanderbeg Order is a high honorary state decoration given in Albania to Albanian and foreign citizens that have made an important contribution to the defence, reinforcement and development of Albania, and is awarded by the Albanian President.[1][2]
The Order of Skanderbeg / George Kastrioti Skanderbeg Order has replaced the previous Order of Skanderbeg which was abolished in 1990.

- Lt Col M.R. Bramwell (Grand Officier) (1993)
- Skender Zogu (Grand Officier) (1993)
- Cdt Hylle Spahija (Grand Officier) (1993)
- Fatos Nano, former Prime Minister of Albania (decorated by proposal of President Alfred Moisiu)
- Colin Powell, retired US General, former Secretary of State (decorated on 1 May 2003 by proposal of President Alfred Moisiu)
- Comte Jean d'Ogny (Commander) (2008)
- Dr Patrice Najbor (Commander), last decoration awarded by King Leka I (2008)[3]
- Azem Hajdari, assassinated Albanian politician (decorated posthumously by proposal of President Bamir Topi on 10 September 2008)
- Fatmir Sejdiu, President of Kosovo (decorated by President Bamir Topi on 3 November 2008)
- Sabri Hamiti, Albanian writer and scholar from Kosovo (decorated by President Bamir Topi on 10 May 2010)
- Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar (decorated by President Bamir Topi on 18 October 2011) [4]
