Orlaith Carmody (born October 2, 1960) in Kilmacud, Dublin is an Irish businesswoman and author of Perform As A Leader, RTE news reporter for a number of years[1] and co-founder of Media Training[2] with her husband and business partner, Dragons' Den investor Gavin Duffy.[3]

Career

Carmody was previously a newscaster and reporter at LMFM and Century Radio.[4][5] As a Director of Aerga Productions,[6] she won a Screen Training Ireland bursary to attend the Entertainment Master Class international media leadership programme.[7][8] She spoke at TEDxTallaght in 2013,[9] TEDxDCU in 2015.[10][11] and at the SME Assembly 2014 in Naples.[12]

Carmody was a board member of RTE from 2010 until 2015,[13]/[14][15] HRM Recruit,[16] and Ablevision Ireland,[17] and is a founder member and president 2014–15 of the Irish chapter of the International Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO).[2]

Book

Carmody's debut book, Perform As A Leader, was published by Ballpoint Press in September 24, 2015.[18][19][20]
