Oru Viral Krishna Rao was an Indian film actor and comedian who appeared in Tamil-language films. A recipient of the state government's `Kalai Maamani' award, Rao got the nickname Oru Viral (a finger) for his first Tamil film in 1965.[2] He acted in nearly 600 Tamil and Telugu films in a career spanning four decades.[1]

Death
He died in a private hospital on Friday (Aug 16, 2002) Noon. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. He was admitted in the hospital for a month following a blood clot in his brain.[1]
