Ostectomy
An ostectomy is a procedure involving the removal of bone.
An example is femoral head ostectomy.
In dentistry, ostectomy refers specifically to the removal of bone surrounding a tooth in an attempt to eliminate an adjacent periodontal pocket.[1]
