The Oxford Odissi Centre is an advance centre for learning Odissi dance at Oxford, United Kingdom. [1] The centre aims to promote and popularize Odissi dance at the global level.

Beside holding regular Odissi dance classes for members of University of Oxford, the centre also conducts Odissi dance workshops at other world-renowned institutions including University of Cambridge, London School of Economics, University College London (UCL), King’s College London, University of Manchester and University of Edinburgh among others. [2]

The centre was founded in 2015 by Baisali Mohanty, a post-graduate student at University of Oxford [3] and an Odissi dancer & choreographer. [4]

Activities

The centre holds weekend Odissi dance classes at several colleges of University of Oxford. [5] [6] The centre also conducts workshops and performances at several Russell Group member universities in United Kingdom.

Oxford Odissi Festival

The centre will be hosting an Odissi festival at the University of oxford in the last week of May. [7]
