Püreviin Dagvasüren

This is a Mongolian name. The given name is Dagvasüren, and the name Püreviin is a patronymic, not a family name. The subject should be referred to by the given name.

Püreviin Dagvasüren (Mongolian: Пүрэвийн Дагвасүрэн; born June 13, 1943 in Batsümber) is a retired Mongolian traditional wrestler with the top rank of "lion". He also participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics as a heavyweight Judoka, but did not win any medal.[1][2]

The IOC database incorrectly lists Dagvasüren as bronze medalist in the freestyle wrestling welterewight category at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico.[3] In reality, that medal was taken home by fellow Mongolian wrestler Tömöriin Artag.[1][4]
