PGLYRP2 is a gene encoding a protein with N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase activity.[1][2][3]

Peptidoglycan recognition proteins, such as PGRPL, are part of the innate immune system and recognize peptidoglycan, a ubiquitous component of bacterial cell walls.[supplied by OMIM][3]
