CSKA Sofia is an ice hockey team from Sofia, Bulgaria that currently plays in the Bulgarian Hockey League. They are a department of the CSKA Sofia sports club.
History
The club was founded as CDNA Sofia in 1964, but changed their name to their present one, CSKA Sofia in 1965. The club has won thirteen Bulgarian Hockey League championships, second in the country, behind HK Levski Sofia. The club dominated the Bulgarian League from 1964-1986, when they won all thirteen of their championships. CSKA also won all twelve of their Bulgarian Cup titles between 1964-1987. Their second-place finish in 2009 was their best finish in twenty years
After many years absence from the sporting calendar's Ice Hockey, SC "CSKA hockey" recover the tradition of its predecessor "CSKA-Septemvriysko zname". Member of USC (united sports clubs) "CSKA", which united more than 40 clubs in different sports, bearing the name "CSKA". Sole and only members of USC "CSKA" have the right to use the trademark and the original logo of the club. The reason there is again a favorite of us all "CSKA hockey," the president of the club Ivelin Todorov and executive director Kiril Hodulov. Two former players on the ice hockey "CSKA-Septemvriysko zname". Priority of the club is working with children. Ice training and overall physical fitness, develop an extremely wide range of properties for their proper growth, discipline, organization, team, respect, hygiene habits, sportsmanship and much more. Experience over the years has proven that practicing ice very well affect any respiratory illnesses. Training process is consistent with the level and age of children. Training system was borrowed from the leading countries in this sport.
