PPcorn (previously known as FDRMX)[3][4] is an American Internet media company that describes itself as "Your Connection to the World." Originally founded in 2013 in Brooklyn, New York, the company has grown into a popular media and technology site with over three million unique monthly visitors.[5] The site currently provides coverage on a variety of topics including news, lifestyle, DIY, animals, entertainment, and business.
History
PPcorn initiated as FDRMX.[6][7] Headquartered in New York and founded in 2013,[1] the site described itself as a "new modern online encyclopedia of music that contains only premium works by artists from around the globe".[8] The site generates income through paid advertisements from companies worldwide, where each advertisement matches the viewer’s language and country.[9] In 2015, FDRMX changed its name to PPcorn. The site currently covers a wide variety of popular topics, including music, life hacks, travel, technology, entertainment, animals, health, sports, facts, and relationships, and has featured a wide variety of prominent artists.[4]
