Paessler AG develops and sells network management and network monitoring software. The company was founded by CEO Dirk Paessler in 1997 and offers freeware and commercial software for system administrators.

In 2014 Paessler AG grew sales by 40 percent in the US and Canada, with worldwide sales growing 32 percent. The reseller rate in the US and Canada grew 116 percent due to 64 new registered partners.[1]

In 2015 Paessler AG made their entry license available for free. The free PRTG 100 is a network monitoring product, intended for SMBs, offering over 200 sensor types.[2]

In April 2015 Paessler AG started donating 1.000 PRTG Network Monitor licenses with 1.000 sensors each to German NGOs. The campaign runs from 20 April to 15 June 2015.[3]
