In the same year, PagSeguro launched a partnership with Nokia to process payments via Near Field Communication (NFC), a technology that safely enables date transmission through the approximation of two mobile telephones. PagSeguro was the first firm to implement NFC technology in Brazil.[4]
In 2013, PagSeguro launched an online credit reader for receiving payments via mobile apps. In the same year PagSeguro launched partnerships with Cartão Mais.[5] and iPAGARE Magento. Retailers that own a Magento store with iPagare technology may use PagSeguro when checking out.[5]

Envio Fácil also tracks packages via PagSeguro’s website.[6][7]

PagSeguro has agreements with diverse a number of financial institutions so that each seller can offer different paying methods to each buyer. Furthermore, PagSeguro receives and forwards the payment to the seller in 14 days once it is certified that there were no frauds in the operation [11]

If a buyer does not receive a product or does so in a way different than agreed, it is possible to open a dispute (claim). PagSeguro moderates the dispute resolution to help the buyer receive the product or the money back; or the seller to receive the money back or return it to the buyer. Money involved in the transaction is held by PagSeguro during 14 days and the buyer has this time to open a dispute to get the transaction money back.
After this period, the buyer still has 31 days to start a dispute, however this time with no guarantee to get the money back.[12][13]

PagSeguro released its credit card reader for sales with up to 12 quotas in 2013. The reader is attached to a smartphone or tablet through a headphone entry and must be connected to Internet. The device is compatible with iOS, Android, Symbian OS, MeeGo and Windows Phone.
The reader has the same role of a traditional credit card reader, however has no monthly fee for the seller as it charges only a fee per transaction made. It is also an option for every autonomous professional or trader.[14][15][16][17]
