Pahari Rajputs
Pahari Rajputs refers to a number of Pahari-speaking Rajput clans found along the southern slopes of the Pir Panjal in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. They often prefix the title "Raja" to their names.
Historically, princes among the Pahari Rajputs were important patrons of art, and in particular of paintings themed on religious subjects.[1]
