Summer Games

Pakistan first participated at the Paralympic Games in 1992, and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Paralympic Games since then.

Pakistani athletes have so far won a single medal. A silver medal, coming courtesy of Haider Ali in the Men's Long Jump - F37/38 Event at 2008 Summer Paralympics. Ali scored the same number of points (1,104) as the gold medal winner, Farhat Chida, from Tunisia. However, Ali had 2 failed attempts, whilst Chida had none, so Chida collected the gold medal.[1]

Pakistan took part in the 2012 Summer Paralympics, and the National Paralympic Committee of Pakistan chose Bedford as the UK base for its Paralympians.[2]
