Pallathu Raman

Mahakavi Pallath Raman (1892–1950), was a poet, writer, social reformer and community leader from state of Kerala. He was born in the Indian city of Kochi, Kerala. He was influenced by the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru. His famous work was Amrita Pulinam, fetched him many awards. In his childhood he used to work in his father's press. After his first wife died, he re-married.

Memorials

He lived with his wife Saguna during the last days of his life. He was a professor at Palakkad Victoria college and then Maharajas college cochin Out of his many children only three survived long. Among them are Mrs. Leela Devi, Meganathan, Chandramohan. He is also survived by his son Pradeep, through his second marriage.
