Palmer Park Boulevard Apartments District
The Palmer Park Boulevard Apartments District is a collection of three apartment building located at 1981, 2003 and 2025 West McNichols Road in Highland Park, Michigan. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.[1]
Significance
These three adjacent buildings are significant in that they were all built in the same time period (the mid-1920s), all were designed by the same architect (Richard H. Marr), and all share a uniform height, setback, and general plan.[2] The three buildings in the district were developed as a row of five; the Fairway and Douglas Apartments at the east end of the row suffered severe fire damage and have been demolished.[2]
