Palmetto High School is a high school in Williamston, South Carolina, that serves (on average) about 900 students. The current Principal is Mr. Robert A. Roach with the assistance of Mr. Mike Kelly, serving as Assistant Principal, and Mr. Jason McCauley, serving as the Assistant and Director of the Freshman Academy. Ninth graders are placed in the Freshman Academy, separating them from the rest of the student body for their core classes. English III Honors, Biology Honors, A.P. Human Geography, & Geometry Honors are some of the courses that Freshmen are able to take and achieve in Palmetto High School's Freshman Academy.
Palmetto's athletic teams are known as the Mustangs [1] and participate as members of the Skyline Conference.
Palmetto High School's Choral Department is also an active member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, under the direction of Susan McKenzie-Chamberlin.
