Panhwar or Panwar (Urdu: پنھوار ) are a Muslim Rajput tribe found in Punjab, Sindh and Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. The term Panwhar is used for the Paramara dynasty royal Rajput clans that have converted to Islam, and are settled in what is now Pakistani territory.

History

The Panhwar also spelled Parmar, Puar, Ponwar, Pawar or Panwar originate from the Paramara dynasty Rajputs.

The present Sardar chief of Panhwar is Nawab Maharaja Mohammad Adam Ali Khan Panhwar , He belongs to Jhelum district and is the present Nawab of Jhelum and resides in Islamabad
