Pankaj Pachauri (Hindi: पंकज पचौरी) (born 24 September 1963) is an Indian TV anchor and journalist. Pachauri was associated with NDTV for 15 years.[1] He was also associated with other international media houses including the BBC, India Today, The Sunday Observer and tha Patriot newspaper.[2] He has more than 30 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism. http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/ndtv-bags-4-awards-at-inba-2009-400387He is a commerce graduate from St. John's College, Agra and studied journalism at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Communication in Lucknow. He has worked for 7 years in print media, 6 years in radio and 16 years in television broadcasting in Hindi and English. He has many awards such as the 'The Statesman Award for Rural Reporting'[3] in 1989 for his expose on the practice of female infanticide in Rajasthan. He also received the Srikant Verma Award for journalism in 1990. He has worked as a correspondent worldwide. He had been adjudged the best Hindi language anchor by peers between 2005-2011.

In January 2012, Pachauri was appointed as the Communications Adviser to the Prime Minister's Office in India under Dr Manmohan Singh. He was responsible for getting the PMO on various social media platforms for the first time and pioneered Indian Government's highest office's policy in social media interaction. He demitted office along-with Dr Singh on 26 May, 2014. Now he is a political expert participating in TV debates and speaks at prestigious institutions like the IIMC, Kolkatta and Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Recently Pankaj Pachauri has joined Jaypee Business School, Noida as Director.[4]
