The Machaonides Swallowtail (Papilio machaonides) is a species of swallowtail butterfly from the genus Papilio that is found in Hispaniola, Puerto Rico and Cayman Islands.[1]
Description
The discal band of the forewing is interrupted, the posterior part contiguous with the cell-spot, forming an oblique band.[2]
Status
A common butterfly throughout Hispaniola occurring from sea-level to high elevation.

This species is located in the neotropical ecozone.
