Musical style
UK lifestyle magazine Female First recognized Parichay for his "pioneering fusion style" in combining Urban sounds with Hindi Classical and Pop music.[10] Web music portal Simply Bhangra praised him as "one of the major producers of Desi Urban music", who has "created a sound that’s unique to today’s generation" of South Asians.[11] India's websites Bollywood Hungama and Times of India described Parichay's music in Loveshhuda as "youthful throughout" and "upbeat and intoxicating"[12][13] Music blog Sari-Clad Speakers wrote that his fusion discography has included "electronic dance anthems", "gritty urban tracks", as well as "romantic" and "sweet" tracks like the hit Tu Hi Zindagi.[14]
Female First magazine has commended Parichay's for his "smooth vocals"[15] As per leading Toronto area South Asian newspaper The Weekly Voice, Parichay is "known for his amazing voice" and for "singing his heart out".[16] Music blog Sari-Clad Speakers has said that Parichay mixes "languages seamlessly" when singing (Hindi, Punjabi and English), given the urban fusion nature of his music.[17]
Summarizing his musical mission, Parichay has said, "I want to touch people’s emotions through my music, be able to relate to their experiences through my music. Be able to get them to dance, send positive messages... I am trying to express that there are no boundaries as far as music goes."[18]
