Paris buns are a sweetened breadlike cake similar to currant buns. Paris buns are popular in poorer areas of Scotland and Ireland for being cheap and filling.

- John Dufresne included the story 'Lemonade & Paris Buns' in his 2005 short story collection Johnny Too Bad.
- Van Morrison mentions Paris buns in the song 'Cleaning Windows' from his 1982 album Beautiful Vision.
- Paris buns are mentioned in the sitcom Rab C. Nesbitt, given to supporting characters by the eponymous hero instead of mignon morceaux, tortilla chips and onion bhajis, being "none ae that foreign junk food crap: this is your traditional Scottish junk food crap."
