Holy Trinity Episcopal Church also known as Holy Trinity Memorial Church is an historic wooden Episcopal church building located at 38 Grand Avenue in the village of Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont. Designed by architect Louis S. Newton of Hartford, Vermont in the Carpenter Gothic style of architecture, it was built in 1876 by Ira D. Hatch at a cost of $2,000. Although is use for years, it was not consecrated until September 9, 1888. Since the completion in 1909-10 of a new stone Gothic Revival church to its right, the building became the Parish Hall and is still in use as such today. [2][3] On March 2, 2001, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Parish of the Holy Trinity.[1] Neither the newer building nor the church's rectory are included in the historic designation.
Current status
Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is still an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont. Its current rector is the Rev. Reid D. Farrell.[4]
