The clippers (Parthenos) are a genus of butterflies found in Southeast Asia. Parthenos sylvia is widespread, occurring from Assam and Burma to , to Sri Lanka, Indochina, the Philippines, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands .Parthenos tigrina and P. aspila are endemic to New Guinea and adjacent islands.
