Pasadena City College Herald Trumpets

The Pasadena City College Herald Trumpets, an elite group of 9 trumpet players and one snare drummer, precede the Rose Court float in Pasadena, California's annual Rose Parade. These players are selected from hundreds of students, both high school and college aged, that play particularly well in their auditions for the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band. The herald trumpets also participate in several smaller events the week before Parade Day alongside the Honor Band. These events include three Bandfest shows, in which bands from around the world that are participating in the parade come to play their field shows, and a parade through Disneyland. The PCC Herald Trumpets are under the direction of Kyle Luck.[1]

Bandfest is presented by Remo held annually on December 29 and 30 at PCC's Mack and Jackie Robinson Stadium, which is named for its famous sons Mack and Jackie Robinson.[2]
