Patrick Cannone (born August 9, 1986) is an American professional ice hockey player. He is currently a member of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was formerly a member of the Ottawa Senators organization where he played two seasons of professional hockey with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Playing career
Born in Bayport, New York, Cannone played junior hockey for the New England Jr. Falcons of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJLHL) from 2004 through 2006. He then joined the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League (USHL) for one season before enrolling at Miami University, where he played four seasons of college hockey. In 2011, after the end of the college hockey season, Cannone was signed as a free agent by the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League, and was assigned to their Binghamton affiliate in the AHL. On July 8, 2013, Cannone was traded to the St. Louis Blues for "future considerations."[1]
