Pat Hughes (Gaelic footballer)
Pat Hughes (born 1 October 1991 in Sligo, Ireland) is a current Sligo GAA Gaelic footballer. A former minor captain,[1] Hughes started his senior career by winning the Man of the Match award on his first championship start in New York in May 2012. [2]
Hughes plays his club football with Geevagh GAA Club and was part of their intermediate winning side in 2009.[3]
Hughes won a Trench Cup with St. Pats College Drumcondra in 2011 and went on to study in UUJ where he contest a Sigerson Cup in the sky blue of Jordanstown.[4]
Hughes represented Connacht Rugby at U20 level in the 2010 inter-provincial series. Hughes, who lined out at fly half[5] won a Connacht Schools Cup with Sligo Grammar School the same year.
