Pataecus fronto, the Red Indianfish, is a species of Australian prowfish endemic to the coastal waters of western and southern Australia where it occurs at depths of from 40 to 80 metres (130 to 260 ft). This species grows to a length of 27 centimetres (11 in) TL. This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
