Patoda is a tehsil in Beed subdivision of Beed district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It was formerly named Bhameshwar Patoda, with its name being derived from the banyan tree.

Patoda is situated on banks of river Manjra, which is a tributary of river Godavari, and the area is known for its Black cotton soil

Agriculture provides the main source of income in Patoda, with an medium-scale irrigation project located nearby at Mahasangavi, and three smaller irrigation projects also located in the area. Sugar is one of the major crops. However, the region tends to be drought-prone, a factor that has limited Patoda's development. Consequently, many residents hold government jobs or work in the industrial area of Pune.

Patoda has two temples, Sangmeshwar, and Bhameshwar, a market, two senior colleges, and a number of schools.

Patoda is surrounded by hills. Nearby of Patoda there is a tourist place called Sutada where is a famous temple along with a water fall. Deers , Peacock majorly found in Patoda. Patoda is cheapest tourist place.

Also Patoda has a great historical story. there are many temples in patoda and each temple have ancient story. In the freedom fight there is also great participation.,bhausaheb arsul,vasant deshmukh, bansidhar shinde, devichand kankriya.

rajabhau deshmukh is the great fighter for the farmers,he is the brave social woker. he is very popular in the maharashtra .
