Patrick Henry High School is a high school in Ashland, Virginia in Hanover County. Patrick Henry has an International Baccalaureate program,[3] as well as a NJROTC program.[4] Patrick Henry is especially known for its NJROTC program that is consistently ranked among the top in the state of Virginia. Patrick Henry is one of four high schools in Hanover County, and the only High school in the western half of the county. Patrick Henry opened in the fall of 1959 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2009. During the 2010-2011 school year, a program called Rachel's Challenge was introduced.
