Sir Patrick Jeremy Walker, KCB was director general (DG) of MI5, the United Kingdom's internal security service, from 1988 to 1992.
Career
An Oxford graduate, Walker was the first D-G to be a Roman Catholic. The son of the chief accountant of the East African Railways, Walker was educated at the King's School, Canterbury and Trinity College, Oxford. He joined MI5 from the Ugandan Civil Service Colonial Service in 1963.[1] He was Director-General of MI5 from 1988 to 1992.[2]
