Paul Donovan (businessman)

Paul Donovan is a businessman. In February 2014, he was appointed Chief executive Officer of Odeon UCI Cinemas Group,[1][2] Europe's largest cinema operator. Previously he was CEO of eircom Group.[3] Ireland's largest telecommunications company, where he led a process of business transformation, and oversaw the successful remediation of the company's capital structure, leading a process of administration in June 2012.

From 1999-2008 Donovan had worked for Vodafone, where as a member of the Group's Executive Committee, he led the Group's businesses in emerging markets in Central Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific. including Vodafone India. He led the Group's "One Vodafone" transformation programme, and spent three years as CEO of Vodafone Ireland from 2001 to 2004.

Other earlier appointments included senior commercial positions at BT, Cable and Wireless, Optus, Apple Computers Coca Cola and Schweppes Beverages and Mars. He also has been a Non-Executive Director of Millicom Cellular International, a leading emerging markets telecoms operator since 2009.
