Paul Fregosi
Paul Fregosi (Sydney, Australia), born in Marseilles and educated in Britain, wrote the widely praised Dreams of Empire: Napoleon and the First World War 1792-1815 and Jihad in the West: Muslim Conquests from the 7th to the 21st Centuries.
Paul Fregosi had four children: Edward, Eva, Lindsey, and, his youngest, Isabelle.
He died in Brazil on January 31, 2001. His body was buried next to that of his wife in St Remy de Provence, France.
