Paul Harkin is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, and coach of the 1990s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Wakefield Trinity, Bradford Northern (twice), Leeds, Hull Kingston Rovers, Halifax, and Hunslet, as a Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 7, and at club level has coached for Wakefield Trinity, Town Leagues Club , and Crigglestone All Blacks ARLFC .

Paul Harkin won a cap for Great Britain while at Hull Kingston Rovers in 1985 against France.[1]

Paul Harkin played Scrum-half/Halfback in Hull Kingston Rovers' 7-8 defeat by Leeds in the 1980 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1979–80 season at Fartown Ground, Huddersfield on Saturday 8 November 1980, played Scrum-half/Halfback (replaced by Interchange/Substitute Chris Rudd) in the 12-29 defeat by Hull in the 1984 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1984–85 season at Boothferry Park, Kingston upon Hull on Saturday 27 October 1984, played Scrum-half/Halfback in the 22-18 victory over Castleford in the 1985 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1985–86 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Sunday 27 October 1985, played Scrum-half/Halfback was man of the match winning the White Rose Trophy in Bradford Northern's 12-12 draw with Castleford in the 1987 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1987–88 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday Saturday 17 October 1987, played Scrum-half/Halfback in the 11-2 victory over Castleford in the 1987 Yorkshire Cup final replay during the 1987–88 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday Saturday 31 October 1987, and played Scrum-half/Halfback, scored 2-tries, and was man of the match winning the White Rose Trophy in the 20-14 victory over Featherstone Rovers in the 1989 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1989–90 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Sunday 5 November 1989.

Paul Harkin played Scrum-half/Halfback (replaced by Interchange/Substitute Christopher Burton) in Hull Kingston Rovers' 4-12 defeat by Hull in the 1981–82 John Player Trophy final during the 1981–82 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 23 January 1982, played Scrum-half/Halfback, and was man of the match in the 12-0 victory over Hull in the 1984–85 John Player Special Trophy final during the 1984–85 season at Boothferry Park, Kingston upon Hull on Saturday 26 January 1985, and played Scrum-half/Halfback, and was man of the match in the 8-11 defeat by Wigan in the 1985–86 John Player Special Trophy final during the 1985–86 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday 11 January 1986.[2]
