Paul Hinson

James Paul Hinson (May 9, 1904 – September 23, 1960) was a utility player in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox. Listed at 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), 150 lb., he batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Vanleer, Tennessee.

Hinson was a major leaguer whose career, statistically speaking, was only slightly different from that of Herb Washington. He appeared in three games for the 1928 Red Sox, all in pinch-running duties, scoring a run, and did not get an at-bat or fielding chances. After that, he never appeared in a major league game again.

Hinson died in Muskogee, Oklahoma at age 56.
