Paul Viktor Louis Zipser (born February 18, 1994) is a German professional basketball player who plays for FC Bayern Munich of the German Basketball Bundesliga. Standing at 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in), he plays at the shooting guard and small forward positions.
Professional career
Zipser began his professional career in his hometown with USC Heidelberg back in 2010. In 2011–12 he averaged 7.9 points 3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.[1] After only 2 games in 2012–13 season due to an injury, on January 18 2013, he signed a four-year deal with FC Bayern Munich.[2]
On April 21 2015, he entered the 2015 NBA draft as an early-entrant,[3] only to withdraw from it later.[4]
International career
Zipser has been a member of the German national under-16 and German national under-18 teams. He played in the 2010 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, 2011 and 2012 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. In 2012 he also played in Albert Schweitzer Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team, averaging 14.6 points, 5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
On 30 July 2015, he made his debut for the senior Germany national basketball team in a game against Austria. On FIBA EuroBasket 2015 he averaged 5.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
