Paula Arnol
Paula Arnol is an Australian Aboriginal woman, and a leader in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services sector. She was born and raised in Cairns, Queensland and has close family connections to Yarrabah, in far north Queensland, which is where her mother's family comes from. Paula Arnol is now based in Queensland, at Cairns.
Positions held
Paula Arnol has held the following positions:
- CEO of Danila Dilba Biluru Butji Binnilutlum Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in Darwin.[1]
- Chairperson of the Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance Northern Territory (AMSANT), the Northern Territory peak body for ACCHS until 2012.[2]
- Chairperson of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Health Forum until 2012, which involves AMSANT, the Northern Territory Government and the Australian Government. It collaboratively plans health service delivery with a focus on developing an evidence-based approach to comprehensive primary health care.
- Advisory Board member of the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
- Board member of the National Community Controlled Aboriginal Health Organisation (NACCHO), the Australian national peak body for ACCHS.
- Member of National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Equality Council.
