Paulo Robspierry Carreiro (Chinese: ç¦ä¿ç¾…, Cantonese pronunciation: [fÊŠÌ„k pÅu lÉ”ÌË]; born 16 January 1983), commonly known as Paulinho (Brazilian Portuguese: [pawˈlÄ©j̃u]; Chinese: ä¿é€£å¥´, Cantonese pronunciation: [pÅu lȉn nÈu]) or Paulinho Piracicaba, is a Hong Kong professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and forward for China League One club Shenzhen FC and the Hong Kong national team.[2][3]
Paulinho acquired his HKSAR passport on 31 October 2015, which means he is eligible for representing Hong Kong at international level.[3]
On 31 December 2015, Paulinho transferred to China League One side Shenzhen FC.[4]
International career
Paulinho was born and raised in Brazil, but became a naturalized Hong Kong citizen. Paulinho made his international debut for Hong Kong against Myanmar on 7 November 2015 and scored his first goal against Maldives in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round on 12 November 2015
