Pavel Golovin (April 26, 1909, Naro-Fominsk April 27, 1940) was a Soviet polar aviation pilot, colonel.[1]

Biography

Golovin was the first Soviet pilot to fly over the North Pole, on May 5 1937.

Awards: Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Banner, Order of the Red Star.

A street in his city of birth, Naro-Fominsk, is named after him.
