Pavoor is a village in Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India.[1] The Holy Cross Church, Pavoor is the only place in India and the world for Church Services in Tulu.[2]
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Pavoor had a population of 6916 with 3433 males and 3483 females.[1] Pavoor is a small village located in northern boundary of Kerala in vorkady panchayath, Manjeshwar, Kasaragod. Both Hindu and Christian houses have this house name in common. Majority of Muslims are living here. Rahmaniya juma masjd is a big Muslim masjid in Pavoor junction located in MLA Road. The majority is in Indian union Muslim league and Minority goes to LDF and SDPI. Generally pavoor is very peaceful. the people of pavoor is always keeping integrity and almost all people of all faiths join together to enjoy all kinds of festival. nowadays the educational rate increasing in the villages spontaneously.the peoples and students mark their identity at various fields of agriculture,education etc., one of its kind is a national awardee Mr. Abdul Rahiman Asif (awarded Best youth parliamentarian,from Government of India) and Doctorate Mr.Mohammed.

The youth of Pavoor are well educated and literacy rate is more than 90% in this region. There are many educational institutions within a 4 km radius, including:

ALP Govt School is one of the oldest Institute in Manjeshwar Taluk and Fathima English medium School has excellent facilities for academic, sports and cultural activities.
Social Welfare Organization
The 'Brothers Conflusion of Pavoor' is a Registered organization under the 'Social welfare Act' and Affiliated to 'Nehru Yuva Kendra' and was started with Nine students named as '9 Brothers' in the year 2005 and within a year the organization name has been changed to 'Brothers Conflusion of Pavoor (BCP)'. Now the members strength of the organization has been increased to 65. Office is Located in the Heart of Pavoor near to Post Office.The Organisation is mainly focusing on social and educational field.[3][4]
