Pedro de Arce (1545-October 16, 1645) was the second bishop of the Diocese of Cebu (1612-1645).[1]
Biography
Pedro de Arce was born in Catadiano Spain and ordained a priest in the Order of Saint Augustine.[1]
On June 13, 1604, Pope Clement VIII appointed him Bishop of Cebu.[1] He was consecrated bishop in 1613 by Diego Vázquez de Mercado, Bishop of the Archdiocese of Manila.[1] While bishop, he was the Principal Consecrator of Hernando Guerrero, Bishop of Nueva Segovia (1628).[1]
