Ronnie D. Lankford, Jr. of Allmusic says "while the music is quite enjoyable, Lee doesn't rely on the sultry style that made her famous on hits like 'Fever'." For an album recorded in 1957, it has a 1940s sound. "The arrangements are attractive but rather typical of '40s big band music"; overall, the album is "an enjoyable ode to an earlier, more innocent time."[1]
