Pennisetia bohemica is a moth of the Sesiidae family. It is found in the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece.[2]
The wingspan is 25–32 mm.[3] Adults are on wing from the end of July to September.
The larvae feed on Rosa canina[4] and Rosa arvensis.[5] They feed on the roots of their host plant for two years. Pupation takes place in a gallery without making a cocoon.[6]
