Peraiyur is a panchayat town in Madurai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Geography
Peraiyur is located at 9°43′N 77°48′E / 9.72°N 77.8°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 150 metres (492 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Peraiyur had a population of 8880. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%.
