Perilitus brevicollis is a parasitoidal insect. Like some other Hymenopterans, it can reproduce through thelytokous parthenogenesis .[1] P. brevicollis spends most of its larval stage developing inside the blue willow beetle (Phratora vulgatissima) .[2]
