Perperene (Greek, Περπερηνιων) is an ancient city in Kozak plateau which is near Bergama in Izmir province of Turkey in western Anatolia.
According to ancient Greek logographer Suda of Byzantium, Hellanicus of Lesbos who was born in Mytilene on the isle of Lesvos lived in 5th century BC and died at 85 years old in Perperene.
