Perreaux
Perreaux is a New Zealand company, based in Dunedin, that designs and manufactures hi fi amplifiers, preamplifiers, CD players, digital to analogue converters (DACs) and other audio components.
History
Perreaux was founded in 1974 in Napier, New Zealand, by Peter Perreaux. In the early 1980s, Perreaux moved into the US market with the SM2 stereo preamplifier and PMF2150B stereo power amplifier. In 1991, Perreaux re-located their factory to Auckland, New Zealand where they continued to develop products including the Reference Series, E-Series and the Radiance R200i. Perreaux moved to Dunedin, New Zealand, in 2005 (which is where the engineering team and factory is still based).
