The Persian Gulf (Persian: خلیج فارس) is the newest destroyer owned by Iran. It is the largest warship owned by a country near the Persian Gulf.[1]

Work on the ship began on September 18, 2012 under the Luqman Project, after being confirmed by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.[2]
